I liked it a lot. There were a lot of niece pieces there and lots of information in either photos or videos format. What I liked the most was the option to create your own animated movie

Exhibition is mostly about technical aspects of movie and animation production
Pre celluloid storytelling and early history of cinema
There are a lot cinematic stuff there
Good collection, reasonable and effortless built. Gallery directors tagged and the brief characteristic of the trace, collar Chaplin, a separate Hall of film and photographic technique.

Some very impressive, significant movie heritage pieces here, but the lack of guidance within the building and hands-off nature of the museum staff let it down. I think having staff in each key location to offer expert knowledge on the exhibits would make this place incredible... I'm sure I missed a load of context between being foreign and not reading well in German.

I do not recommend unless you know german because over 90% of the explanations are in german.
Also, the exposition is not that well organized - you do not have a clear path to take that will cover all the museum exhibition.
Also the exhibition itself is not that interesting.
I suggest maybe better buy an ice cream worth of that money

Great museum, lots of different things to see and also very interactive. I liked the stereoscopic part. It was free on a Sunday.

A must see history of film: how the moving picture began in the 19th century untill the Star Trek Next Generation model of the Enterprise. Costumes, cameras, shadow plays... The museum is in its big part interactive, so you can try some gadgets by yourself.
