Everytime I am in Düsseldorf myself or I take friends to visit, this place is a must! It is a great experiece to try the famous drink of the city. I think it is also neat how you can order through a window. You are now able to take the shotglass home with you as a souvineer, which I think is a cute idea. It can a bit be crowded on the streets though, especially on weekends or festivals.

Wonderful, traditional, tiny bar with lots of personality! The homemade liquor, friendly staff and patrons make it a must visit in Altstadt!

The local people here knows that the drink here is originally from the city. It's nice to have it as the symbol of the city. You can either drink here or take away. Just ignore if the old grumpy lady complains or shouts at you here
