Bars who make a couple dishes well already deserve praise, but this bar is able to do every dish well with such a big menu deserves its own praise. I already had high hopes when I saw the Mom looking chef and the hipster looking chef working together.
The Curly Fries were the best I've ever had, fried in hot and clean oil (perhaps double fried) and seasoned well. Textbook.
Pizza is charred well even though I suspect its an electric or gas oven, well amount of cheese and probably good canned tomatoes by the wetness of the dough, not weak at all compared to bar pizzas Ive ate.
Finger foods like chicken strips were also fried well although perhaps lacking the spiciness, otherwise perfect.
And the portions are big and very fair considering the price.
The cocktail menu is very wide and the bartender definitely knows what they are doing because you can find a lot of the staples with varities that will surprise you so they have their basics right and are willing to go beyond.
All in all, this place could change its name to Gastro-Pub tomorrow without changing anything and no one could say anything against it. The only reason I am not a staple would be that I don't live in Düsseldorf.
