Nice cozy German restaurant in Düsseldorf Altstadt. Heaven for meat lovers. They sell out quickly so go on time. Friendly and helpful staff. And service was fine. Outdoor seating was great. Vegetarian people no go.

Chose this place for dinner on our last night in Düsseldorf. Lovely traditional German restaurant in the old town.

Had a really gorgeous lamb fillet with peppercorn sauce for dinner. Would never have considered pudding those two together. A win. Tiny hash browns were the side. Weird but good.

Pudding was the long awaited apple strudel. It was good strudel. Served with cream and ice cream. If only they had served it with custard as well, we could have repeated the trifecta achieved by Maredo in Cologne back in 2013. ????

The beer was Brinkhoff’s. Smooth pils and a friendly beer company. Good social media presence.

Restaurant offered both pavement and indoor dining. Chose to sit outside and watch the people.

An excellent dinner which soothed nerves after some random man on the street attempted to start a fight an hour earlier… ????

A cozy restaurant with a very old town feel. All wait staff were friendly, attentive, and interactive. They make you feel welcome and are not afraid to joke with you. The prices we a little high, but we think the level of food matched the prices. Unlike many of the touristy options available, this one feels and tastes authentic. Portions were a little big, but not so much that you could take a whole meal home in a doggie bag. We would recommend all dishes that we ordered. I might even recommend the pan potatoes over the "tater-tots" which not the traditional American shape, but similar nonetheless.

Cozy restaurant. Good quality of food. The portions were well sized. Quality of the dishes were ok but missing the special notes and texture expected for the prices paid.
Nevertheless a very good restaurant worth to visit.

Big plate of meat!

Had dinner here on a Thursday evening in February and it was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A large selection of different meats and steaks on offer as well as two person platters. Portion sizes are decent and the price was good too. We had the grill plate for 2, a beer each and the bill was under €50.
