Typical German food, if you visit, try Rinderroulade which was just fantastic! Located right in historic town center, therefore count with slightly higher prices but it’s worth it.

Great food, decent service, awesome location and atmosphere. Live medieval music. Prices were good too. Overall great dinner.
One thing of note though: I called and was told categorically there is no room for my family of 7. I asked if I walked in and requested a table in person what would happen; I was told I'd be turned away. I went in person and easily make a reservation and throughout my dinner there were still many, many free tables. I don't know who was answering the phones, but they sent the wrong message.

This restaurant is ideally located in the historic town centre. It is easy recognisable by the large canon outside, go down some steps and you're inside.
The restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere is very lively with the occasional live song played by a guitarist.
The food is the real winner here, it is very tasty and well worth it. Service was very quick and the server very friendly.

This is a historic city center restaurant set in medieval setting but still modern. The food is great and the drinks. This is a sure recommendation if you visit Dresden city. The place is large and with a lively ambience. It is located right at the city centre

Had the beef filet with rosemary potatoes - a good meal cooked well. Not sure about the veg though. Beer was good and the staff were friendly. Main meals are around €20 each, but mine was a bit more.
The setting was medieval and looked very authentic. I've been told its a bit of a touristy place but I liked it. I would go back if in Dresden in the future.

We had a fantastic meal at Pulverturm. There was a bit of trouble in finding the restaurant as its below ground and the sign is at eye level so you're not looking for it as you enter the plaza. The entertainers were fantastic and a godsend to distracting toddlers. My husband has the spit roasted pork which he said was moist, with a potato dumpling that blew his mind. My meal was one of the fish dishes which unfortunately quite bland, but the sides were excellent. We tried the cherry strudel for dessert and were extremely pleased. Would absolutly recommend this restaurant, but if you're not a German speaker, please brush up on ordering beforehand. Enjoy!
