In my opinion the hotel Pension Arcade doesn't deserve to be named a hotel, it's more like hostel. The bad things: the room was really small (single room), bathroom was dirty, dust lies on every possible shelf, no one speaks English, and the heaters were barely warm (in December). The good, it had free room to rent in last minute.
Generally I don't recommend it.

Slow internet. I got a no-smoking room, but you can feel the smoke everywhere in the room. It was realy bad. There is mentioned possibility of credit card payment (MasterCard, Visa etc.), but in reality they accept only EC card. Check-in only 3PM-6PM! Yes, it's more hostel than hotel.

Rude staff..for someone who is new to Germany and no knowledge of German I would not suggest this hotel.on top of that I had to stay there for a night without any wifi connection ( completely not in contact with my family). This is going to be my last stay in this hotel.

Friendly people good service for a nice price, motorcycle friendly. Good restaurant nearby and dresden is a nice city. I would recommend this hotel.

The breakfast room is nicely decorated. There is a small pool outside that can be used on warm days. The tram is right nearby and takes you to the city center in 30 minutes. We really liked this. Unfortunately, the street can actually be heard very well and doesn't let you sleep long. Since the breakfast times are extremely early (7 a.m. to 9 a.m.), this is only a limited problem. On vacation I would still prefer to sleep in a little longer. In addition, our reservation was not saved in the system, which luckily didn't have any major consequences for us and we got a nice room with a balcony. The WiFi, on the other hand, is a disaster. There is hardly any reception in the rooms, which should be easy to fix with today's technology.
Overall, however, we would always come back, since the positive aspects clearly outweigh the negative ones.

Die Zimmer sind wunderschön eingerichtet und sauber. Wir waren wirklich positiv überrascht. Auch das Frühstück ist wirklich reichhaltig und lässt so gut wie keine Wünsche offen. Der Frühstückssaal ist schön eingerichtet. Draußen befindet sich ein kleiner Pool, der an warmen Tagen genutzt werden kann. Die Straßenbahn ist direkt in der Nähe und fährt in 30 Minuten in die Innenstadt. Dies hat uns wirklich gut gefallen. Leider ist die Straße tatsächlich sehr gut zu hören und lässt einen nicht lange schlafen. Da die Frühstückszeiten jedoch äußert früh sind (7 bis 9 Uhr), ist dies nur bedingt ein Problem. Im Urlaub würde ich dennoch lieber etwas länger ausschlafen. Zudem wurde unsere Reservierung nicht im System gespeichert, was zum Glück keine größeren Konsequenzen für uns hatte und wir haben ein schönes Zimmer mit Balkon bekommen. Das WLAN ist hingegen eine Katastrophe. Auf den Zimmern ist kaum Empfang vorhanden, was sich mit heutiger Technik leicht beheben lassen sollte.
Insgesamt würden wir jedoch immer wiederkommen, da die positiven Seiten deutlich überwiegen.
