Be not deceived, while the name is quite historical, the decoration is not, a little bit random even. Despite of being rather upper end, traditional German cuisine, it still is a family friendly place. Excellent food, dedicated service. Best value for money, if you cannot convince your date to go there just dump her/him and go alone.

Visited in January 2020
Nice restaurant, nice waiters who could actually speak english quite well. Waiting time was very short but there was not much going on so I cant say how it is when its crowded. The prices are not cheap but the quality and quantity justifies it ( steak au four with french fries).

We enjoyed the foods. Music selection was also good. They took care of our Japanese kids well. We really want to come back again.

A really nice pub with big, decent serves of food and excellent service. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would visit again.
