Be aware about the check-in time. If you cross the 6 pm - does not matter what was the reason - your reservation for that day will be lost. My travel has delayed and I've informed about that fact around 7 hours in advance with hope to solve it out anyhow. That it was not possible, that's one thing - it was my problem eventually, not theirs - but the attitude of the miss from the other side was horrible. It was more like "get lost", "i don't care", without any pinch of understanding for the case. I don't trust places where the host disrespects the guests (these potential ones too), so I dare to evaluate service at this point.

The location, price and room was great, however, I couldn't say much about the front desk staff. When we checked in, the card reader wasn't working correctly and the desk personnel wasn't knowledgeable on how to tackle this problem. We ended up getting charged twice, but we were quickly reimbursed.

Also, I want to note that they do have free parking but they are limited on spaces. Therefore, it's first come, first serve.

Overall, I'd still recommend this place if you want to be near the city center.

This is the first time I had to give a bad review to a place. We made a reservation through booking and put that we was going to check in between 8pm and 9pm. Then we stayed without internet until arrive at the place. Once there and with internet we received an email from the hotel denying our check in hour. We had to take a cab and look for another hotel in late hour. But for our surprise the hotel charged us for the whole staying and when we tried to speak with them they didn't care about our problem and on top of that answered us in German knowing that we were no German speakers. They showed us a gigantic lack of caring for our problem. And seeing other reviews here this is not an isolated problem, Wich means that they are deceiving some customers.

Mattress was super uncomfortable, it had a couple broken springs. The room did not have a fridge, and the wifi never worked.

The cobble stones must have been original, since they were nearly impossible to walk on.

The hotel only accepts EC cards or cash, so if you're an American plan on paying in cash.

Do yourself a favor and spend a little more to get a better hotel.

Reception open only 7 hours per day, unbelievable! If you miss, sleep on the street, you do not get your key to the room, even if collecting from any place in Dresden was offered. Of course, all the money FOR NOTHING accepted. And bad English. So-genannte Deutsche Service.

Do not stay here. Only can pay in cash.
They made staff go to cash points, or no keys. I was coming next day, to pay, but cut no ice. Also refused to deduct city tax, which as a business you don't have to pay. Stay somewhere else.

Fabulous atmosphere. Nice staff. Clean rooms. Good location. What could you want more?
