It's really a value for money. 5m walk from Hauptbahnhof and good price with breakfast. I paid 60 Euros. Attention that is located in a dodgy area, if you are ok with that it's good value.
Rooms are outdated and not very enhanced. Some dirty corners and shared areas even more dirty.

Pros:

-very good breakfast ( great selection )

-ok water pressure

Cons:

-no staff at check in, needed to call multiple numbers written on A4 paper glued to the entrance door and even got hunged up on one call

-no first day breakfast ( they didn't know if they could serve it or not )

-hotel staff doesn't even know the name of the hotel

-names of the hotel:
Home hotel ( written above entrance and some other places )
Sport hotel ( written by the side on a paper and other places )
Bowling hotel ( writen for the parking lot )

-on my whole stay there ( 5 days ), staff was turning off the heating and opening windows on my absence ( winter period )

-extremely soft mattress

-unpleasant elevator

-elevator doors in the middle of the floors ( that's a first ), so not possible for people in the wheelchair

-bad sound insulation

It looks and feels like an old rundown place. The carpet is pretty worn out. The furniture looked quite old. Room was small. Just enough for two chairs and a very small table. Everything was somewhat clean. Found some hair in the bathroom. Reception is open until 10pm,after that you have to open the door yourself with your room key. Room key is huge... Not comfortable too carry around. Internet was ok. Just used it late at night and early in the morning for some YouTube streaming. Window to the street can be quite noisy. You should bring ear plugs. Also the curtains won't make the room very dark even at night because of street lights. In the end I can't recommend this place at all. I was staying there because the location was very comfortable for me.

Negativ: Teppich hat Flecken, in der nicht gefüllten Mini bar sind schwarze Flecken erkennbar!!! Waschbecken hat Risse!!! Die Betten sind durchgelegen. Wir haben ein Doppelzimmer gebucht, hatten aber eins für 3 Personen. Es muss besser gereinigt (im ganzen Zimmer) und insgesamt alles verbessert werden!!! Die Gegend ist nicht sehr vertrauenswürdig!!!

Das Hotel konnte nur aufgrund der Hausnummer gefunden werden. Außen steht in großen Buchstaben "Sport Hotel", geworben wird jedoch mit Home Hotel. Die Angestellten waren sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im Frühstücksraum sehr freundlich.
Der Aufzug hält "sinnvollerweise" im Zwischengeschoss, größeres Gepäck muss also auch noch die letzte Treppe getragen werden. Das Zimmer war sehr dreckig, im Mini-Kühlschrank befand sich schon Schimmel. Die Matratze hat seine besten Zeiten seit Jahren hinter sich, sie sollte dringendst ausgetauscht werden. Ebenso der Teppichboden. Ich habe mich nicht getraut, barfuß darüber zu gehen!
Spiegel im Bad hängt gegenüber des Waschbeckens, was beim Rasieren eher kontraproduktiv ist.
Alles in allem war das Zimmer für knapp 85€/Nacht auch noch viel zu teuer für solch ein heruntergekommenes Viertel.

Habe einen Tag vor Anreise eine Mail gesandt, die aber nicht beantwortet wurde. Bei Ankunft am nächsten Tag - nur Achselzucken!
Der Treppenaufgang mit dreckigem, verschlissenem Teppich ausgestattet.
Zimmer einfach eingerichtet, aber sauber.
Gespart wurde am Frühstück (nur das Nötigste) und NUR bis 09:00!!!
