Unassuming takeaway spot just off the river frontage. Very nice pork roast roll. Not sure why they added a piece of totally dried out meat at the end - would have been better without it.

Do yourself a favour, and try the suckling pig (Spanferkel) sandwich! Grab it to go, and take a few steps to the Rhein and enjoy that succulent meat covered in onions glazed to perfection!

You know that when there are only a few things on the menu, there's a good chance they do them well! And that is the case here!

If you are coming by car, park under Heumarkt. It's a very short walk from there.

We had the spanferkel brotchen mit zwiebeln. Which was the roast pork and crackling and onions on a bread roll.

It was amazing. Such tender which has been slow cooked and great crunchy crackling. The onion has been stewed and browned which adds to the flavour.

Really great food for an excellent price. Super close to the river so once you grab it you can walk back to the river front and enjoy the view and eat your roll.

Got kicked out very aggressively at 12 am sharp, “want to close”. Ok, very unpleasant way of taking to clients.

Best fries I’ve had in a while—honestly, better than the fries I had the last time I was in Amsterdam! My order was fresh out of the fryer and perfectly salted. The mayonnaise was divine. Perfect coda to an interesting day in Cologne!
