Did some research and came across this place as one of the bests in cologne. Extremely pretentious and rude staff. Nobody took my order for 20 minutes. 2 German speaking folks arrived after me and they were immediately entertained with a big smile and welcome. In todays world where diversity and inclusion is the focus in all the developed countries I felt a bit secluded. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re a tourist. Never faced anything like this in Berlin.

Well I just so happened to stumble across this place the last night being in Cologne.

And let me tell you
.. I’m thinking it just maybe the best kept secret in town

A bar, that was playing live Jazz Music
.. from the bar, to the atmosphere, to the cold beer to the band

It was all absolutely amazing.

No cover charge
.. every so often the tip jar comes along for the band (and it’s worth every dollar - or more you donate)

The band just gets better and better
.. it’s a CASH ONLY Bar (which was a o k with me)

There are seats, small drink tables all over
.. and a stair case one can take to sit up high

And watch the other guests and the band
.. the whole place is like 14/10

Nice place that I have been every year. This year on April I was there and I order Lagavulin whisky for 18 euro and instead of this they serve me a Jonny Walker!!!! With no excuse... imagine if I did not know to distinguish?
The barman gave me the money back but for sure was very bad experience. It is like you order a Salmon and they bring you Sausage. Very bad service even the waitress.

Amazing bar with the most amazing atmosphere. Make sure to go there at the right time as it will get a bit packed. The place itself is nicely decorated and the musicians were amazing. Really recommend going even if you're not a big fan of jazz! They have a large selection of cocktails but they aren't served when live music is played.
