Spacious Room but not good service.
Room, bed and lenins were dirty. I booked for a double bed but got two seperate small blankets. Lift wasn't working so had to carry luggage on my own to 5th floor.

Hopeful weekend in Cologne ruined from the Hotel from hell! We were on the 6th floor and the elevator only goes to the fourth. The steps up to the 6th floor are steep and hazardous. Our room door was left open and when we walked in the room was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned with dirty towels on the bathroom floor and crisps wrappers left in the room, not to mention there was hair on the bed. We later found out from the worker on the desk that he was informed by the house keeping that two room hadn’t been completely cleaned and ours was one of them. It was clear that it wasn’t cleaned at all! The room was like an attic from a horror movie and the hair dryer and tv weren’t working in the room.The door and key jammed every time we tried to leave or enter it took us at least 10 minutes to remove the key. It was even uncomfortable to shower as there were no curtains in the room or the bathroom. We asked to speak to a manager multiple times and we’re told “I’m very busy right now”, this is unacceptable and disappointing as we could have got a much better hotel from the money we paid if we had know of all this. Hopefully this helps and stops anyone else from staying here and going through the same treatment as we did.

The room was comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Great location too. It was easy to come back for snacks and then go back our again. Only downside is the rooms seem a bit old and my toilet was broken (just the lever to flush. The outside fell off so I had to use the inside mechanism). Great for travelers looking for a well priced central location who won't sweat the small stuff and don't mind the downtown noises.

4 stars as it was great for the price I paid (about 40 eur /night) - I'd definitely stay again. Fairly spacious room and big en suite. I loved the big windows (though would've appreciated a proper curtain, rather than just a net curtain). Location is great, a ten minute walk from the main station down a big shopping street (so it felt very safe to arrive late at night). Friendly staff. Only thing to watch out for is that the rooms aren't soundproofed very well - though with earplugs I didn't find this a problem at all.

Location was good. There was one man on reception that was nice when we first arrived. Other than that receptionists were unfriendly and rude.

Room was very basic. We were supplied some sparkling water but that was all. No fridge or security box in the room. The website says that there was a security box which may well have been at reception but this was not mentioned. Beds were uncomfortable. Corridors smelt like smoke. Luggage storage was strange. They were adamant we couldn’t lose our tickets that had a number specific to the tag we put on our suitcase and yet it was just left in a downstairs bar area in the open. We never were asked for the tickets again.

We had a three guest room for one night. The room was very clean, the staff friendly and breakfast was different but good. The room was a little small by American standards but was adequate for sleeping. No air conditioning and a small elevator.. but all in all, a very decent room for a very reasonable price.
