Unfortunately terrible sushi. We saw relatively good reviews online and went over on a afternoon. The sushi was weird - from the rice to the seaweed to the ingredients used.

The spicy tuna sushi was supposed to be one of their recommended dish, but turned out to be just overwhelming with sesame flavor, and just taste nothing like even a mediocre sushi.

Was a bad experience and we left without finishing our food.

Simple small place with nice tasty food. The service is discreet and kind, I've appreciated this attitude very much. Would come back!

I ordered Karaage and it was made with peanuts to which I am allergic. They did not disclose it as an ingredient on their website, where I made the order. Taste of their sushi is "OK". Receipt is provided only when explicitly requested.

We went as a group of 5 and reserved a table for 20:30. Despite a short delay (we did call and notify the restaurant), we were seated promptly. All in all, Sushi Haus left an okay impression. It's small and cramped, and the toilets were both tight and in need of a bit of TLC. Sushi Haus is located right next to the train station Köln Messe/ Deutz, so probably very handy as a takeaway, but we wouldn't go for a meal again. The gamescom meant that the restaurant was overfilled and the service, although VERY friendly, seemed a little overwhelmed. The food came reasonably quickly, which was good because we expected longer waiting times, but we did have to go and ask for/ get the soy sauce ourselves. The menu itself was varied, but the food was nothing out of the ordinary and seemed very pricey (and small portions - the guys left hungry), although we cannot compare to other sushi in the area.

In a nutshell: we would not eat here again, but maybe consider it as a takeaway in the future

Doesn't accept credit cards. Unfriendly and unmotivated waitress. Aggressive and non understanding managers. Food is great though. But doesn't make up for atmosphere and comfort.

Addition: We gave it another chance. We made up a reservation for ayce and were told longer opening times. In the restaurant we found ayce being canceled and normal opening times. Personal was super unfriendly and unsupportive. Won't ever go there ever again!
