Very sly door policy that is designed to exclude people of color while playing cool black music. If you are on your own, you will need a lawyer before they let you into this place. It has happened on more than one occasion which is a shame as it seems a nice place. Buy hey it is what it is. Business as usual.

Edit: Ignore the owner's response.I might like to add that entry was nearly impossible even before the pandemic. On the few occasions I managed to enter, a German had to get me in.

I am fully certified but was not given the opportunity to prove my case. In any case, I hope bringing this to this forum will be an educational exercise for yo and your team. Have a good evening!

Any time of the week there is always a good crowd hanging out. Really good cocktails served. Friendly staff and great music. There is mostly a DJ mixing vinyl behind the bar playing soul and funk. I have never experienced a bad night in over 10 years. These guys know their business

I know this place for a long time and the interior never changes much. It has that very old flair, that somehow manages to keep its charm. Lots of bar access. I love the Scheinbar, and on every visit to Cologne, I have to be there at least once. Definitley a place to go, if you don't want to listen to chart music.
