When I lived close to Cologne, I used to make Kölsch tours, where we tried to sample as many sorts of Kölsch as possible in one day, preferably in pubs. Since each only serve one kind, it involved quite a bit of walking, and a fair amount of discipline, to make it fit into one day. This pub (the only one we found serving Zunft) was a geographical outlier, but one of our favorite places, because of the friendly atmosphere, and we always went for an extracurricular single malt, since they had a decent selection.
