Our travels to Morocco had us always craving for Tagine. We were so glad when we came upon Latif’s in Cologne.
The food was absolutely remarkable! We ordered the Zaalouk for appetizer which comprised of smokey eggplant, garlic and tomatoes, treated as a spread with warm flatbread. For mains, we got Beef Tagine and Lamb with couscous. The flavors had a great spice level and transported me back to Morocco.

The worst part of the evening was the service. I ordered an appetizer, knowing that Tagine will take a while. It all came together 35 minutes later. Can’t blame it on COVID for mistakes like this. Can’t fool us to have dessert since we never saw him come to our table besides giving food. We ended up walking to the cashier to pay. Our server was having his well deserved smoke break.

Come here, eat the food but don’t come hangry!

Super amazing Moroccan food and the best and most friendly staff near any restaurant ( I have tried almost all near Neumarkt)

They have many cocktails which are not in the menu so don’t hesitate to ask.

Great place with very good cocktails. My favourite here is the Mojito. Great flavours throughout and a small hinch of alcohol.

The food is not purely Moroccan food, and also it is so expensive compared with other places here in köln, the soup (Harira) was good

Little miscommunication with the waiter but the owner offered it for free so great service. Yummy cocktails.

I have a Moroccan background and I have to say that I was really impressed with the food!
It was delicious and very difficult to find something similar in Cologne, with this quality and flavor. The couscous was super tasty and not too oily or spicy so perfect for my taste. We only took typical Moroccan appetizers from the menu and it was all delicious!
The service was also perfect, the gentleman that took care of us often checked discreetly if we were fine and asked before bringing the main dishes, so we can really enjoy the dinner without any rush.
I definitely recommend and thank you to the team working there for this beautiful dinner :)
