My experience was not so bad here. I had my elbow surgery here. The doctors and nurses are friendly and most of them are good English speakers. The environment was not so bad, but they should think about the cooling system in the summer. I faced a very bad situation for this.
Another problem is one lady at the emergency desk. She was very rude. Even with a 90+ aged senior citizen. The other stuff I have found good

My experience with this hospital is excellent. I came there as an emergency case , had 3 general anesthesia (1 biopsy and 2 big operations) in a 5 weeks.
My room had a balcony overlooking the hospital's garden, birds were singing and the staff was amazingly kind and caring. Doctors, young and senior were professional and kind, no matter how strange it can sound l enjoyed my stay there as much as it was possible in those circumstances.
Since l Don't speak German, all staff spoke English with no hesitation
Only one thing which l could complain of is a dinner with white bread for toast which was not toasted but food can be ordered by delivery service or one can go to the hospital's caffe where the food is better so that was minor problem considering all what was going around me those weeks.

Thanks to Dr. Wolf, Dr. Schmoling, Dr. Ieva, Dr. Eva, Dr. Ahmed, Nicole, Ulrike, Andrea, Karina and many others ..

I'm a tourist travelling in Cologne and unfortunately had to undergo an emergency surgery yesterday. The entire team took excellent care of me and I'd like to thank Dr. Claudia and Dr. Anna Keding for the clear explanations throughout the process. Nurses Sr. Maria, Lilli and Lilli took very great care of me pre and post surgery and was there every time I needed them. The Anaesthetic team made me feel safe in the op room, and reassured me along the way. The surgery went the best it could and I'm super thankful for that.

Apart from the 3 to 4 hours of waiting time for my blood test results and the fact that my husband couldn't be with me during the wait (due to COVID-19), the entire experience was great.

Everyone except for a few receptionists could speak English and that really helped. For complicated medical terms that the doctors weren't able to translate, we just googled them and it wasn't a huge problem at all.

P. S. I'm sorry I can't remember everyone's last names, but you know who you are! ???? Huge thank you to everyone!

I NEVER RECOMMEND
We went there with ambulance since it was an emergency situation and the doctors were completely incompetent and totally unorganized with each other. They were very friendly, polite and positive BUT unfortunately have no knowledge at all even for basic operations. We keep repeating all the time that the leg hurts but they didn’t even took it seriously and let us go home. Exactly the very next day we ended up with ambulance again to another Hospital in Porz and the doctor found Trombose in the leg.
Totally extremely disappointed.

I've been "visited" from a very unpolite and agressive doctor. I've asked for a visit, but I only obtained a consueling for a prescription. I kindly suggest to foreign People NOT GOING there, as the english Level is low, and they completely do not care for private patients (without german insurance, as they refused my international policy). Maybe my Impression is too negative due to the behaviour of the doctor (she became hysteric when I asked for a real visit and not only prescriptions).
