Perfect hotel for it's price range. 4 stars because it was really clean which is for me the most important part of a hotel room.
The breakfast was quality wise average, but there was a lot to chose from so everyone will find their favorite. Unfortunately the elevator was broken during my stay, but that didn't bother me and I saw that they had rooms for people with a disability on ground level, so even if the elevator doesn't work it won't bother anyone too much.
I could hear some music and talking from the rooms next to me during the day, but since I went to an event in the LANXESS arena I came to the hotel when everyone was already asleep. I just hope I didn't woke them up because the walls aren't that thick.
I had a room on the North side of the building so it was nice and chill despite the hot temperatures outside. I kept the cooling off.
The showers are big enough, the bathrooms are big enough for 1 person, so you'll need to take turns to get ready in the morning if you're with more than 1.
But in short, perfect hotel for the price range and I'll be back next year.

I'm Norbert ANTONY; working as an engineer in Germany, I travel a lot (every week regarding my business and I come often to Köln)

Last Wednesday (22.06.2022) at 11.30 am I arrived at your hotel and there was a man at the reception who treated me extremely bad and behaved in a very strange way to me also extremely rude.

That's not acceptable and I don't know without any single reason how he can behave in such a way and my suggestions if you have this kind of people in your reception I don't know how it will work for the hotel.

All my colleagues also travel every week and of course I have shared my experience with this hotel with them.

I'm not sure you will consider my experience but I want to explain what I faced.

Bij far, the best Ibis in Europe i slept as Flixbus driver. Amazing breakfast and very clean rooms.

Do NOT book this hotel. Checking in was an adventure again, like previous stays: this time they first couldn't find my booking, although I kept the confirmation email under their nose. I was wrong, according to them. When they finally found it, and gave me the key, I found an angry elderly German gentlemen in my bed; they had checked him in on my reservation. Then they gave me the key of a room with a broken lock, and finally they got me the last room they had. When I reported that the airco only provides hot air, they told me that it was bad luck, because it had just broken, which is not true, because it was already broken in each and every of my five previous visits in the past year, and they also then told me it had just broken. The temperature in the room must be above 24C; if I open the window swarms of mosquitos come in, because there are no screens although the hotel is next to shallow open water. The WiFi again was too slow to send emails with attachments, just like each and every previous stay. My customer books me into this place, but I will book another hotel next time. Basta.

Nice place with standard Ibiz rooms, very silent due to the location. Good and varied breakfast. Wi-fi sometimes non-working. Staff enough friendly. Very easy to reach from the airport (1 station distance + short walk). Avoid kitchen, which is just proposing Flammkuchen and pizza. 7

Bedbugs in on of the room, the guy from reception said someone brought it here from a nearby lake. Yeah for sure. Water / waste smells like sulphur. Apparently also because of the lake. Half od the staff is very unfriendly and annoyed all the time. Poor breakfast service. ( I have been here multiple times, it is still the same, only this time with the bedbugs as a “bonus” )
