Great area to visit in Köln. Lots of restaurants nearby. I would suggest that if yiu visit on a Saturday that you get there before 3pm as nobody will serve you food after that time. I'm sure there's a very good reason for this. But I've yet to find out why

This landmark is right across from the hotel so I see it every day from the window and pass through it when walking into town.

Huge, extremely-impressive 13th-century city gate.

Just come out of Rudolfplatz U-bahn station and the gate is opposite you.

It's a gate in the middle of Köln which they rebuild and put some modern on the other side. It looks great and is another piece off history from this nice city...

Nice historical building/gate. A part that is old (original?) and a part that is newly constructed. There is also a building at the side which looks like an office or something.
