We stayed there 3 nights.
The room was okay, pretty ugly with a view to the backyard but calm, we slept good, although pillows were not the best. No AC. Very tiny bathroom can fit only 1 person at a time. The breakfast was quite nice, but they take time to refill food though. 25 min walk to the centre, 5 min to the train station, Lidl 7 min walk.

This was my second time at Centro Hotel Ayun and again I was disappointed with the hotel. This would be my last time here.

The area where the hotel is located doesn't have pretty much any service. No grocery store, no decent restaurant and all in all the area is still (like it was 4 years ago) a giant landfill/construction yard.

The hotel itself is pretty outside. Inside it's a bit dated. Breakfast isn't included with the room. If you pay for it you will get a very bland serving which wasn't worth the money. The fact that there are no grocery stores near you can't even just walk and get something. Closest one is around 10 mins by car.

The rooms are modern with a good bed. Some rooms have ugly views to the backyard and some (mostly from the third froor) you get a view to the nearby street. Nothing special. The wifi is free and unprotected. Be sure to pick the right one. It works randomly and of course isn't that fast.

The bathroom is ok for one person but for two it's just too small. The biggest issue is that the room doesn't have a minibar. Reception sells Coca-Cola, Sprite and Fanta (for 2,50€ per bottle) but you can't get water. Anywhere. The whole hotel does not sell any water in bottles. The rooms do not have a possibility to iron your clothes. My most recent room had an AC which worked fine. If you are a light sleeper be ready for the trains. The trains will get you at night.

All in all a very disappointing experience. Can't even give much praise to the reception which just does it's work and nothing else. A bit robotic I would say.

If you want it cheap and don't mind about the negatives it's a nice place to stay. If you need anything else I would just pick something else.

The price is right.
Service was really nice while dealing with some system troubles.
But we didn't sleep well because of the heat in the room, no clima and the window was directly and the entrance, so that there was middle of night and early morning noises.
The mattress was way to soft, so that you could roll of the side because it was just sinking in.

If you're ok with the basics only, this place may appeal to you. My room was clean, which was the most important thing for me. There aren't many restaurants around but it's really close to the concert venue, Gebäude 9.

Small but wonderfully quiet rooms, nice service, good location (not to far from Köln Deutz station u0026 central station)

Lots of people loitering on the street in front of the hotel in the middle of night. Bed is like marshmallow. Room small and smelly. Needs updating.
