The only cafe in Bayenthal that doesn’t feel old-fashioned and quaint. Even though the food isn’t the what i typically would want, it’s the only friendly place In this quarter/veedel that you can chill and have a coffee in a contemporary setting. Every other cafe/restaurant in Bayenthal feels more suitable for grandparents. (Sorry but it’s true). That’s why I’m giving it 5 stars rather than the 4 i might have given it.
The food and drinks are primarily vegan. Though drinks are available with regular cow milk as well.
I had a vegan croissant that was surprisingly tasty and the coffee was nice and hot, served with hot steamed milk on the side. My friend had a banana bread and a vanilla matcha latte (hot, as they ran out of ice) - i think i only like matcha milk combo as a cold option. The banana bread was too sweet for me.
If I’m in this area, I’ll go back to the cafe. It’s the only option for me. ????
