Being originally from Germany, it’s hard to impress me when it comes to bakeries/ cafes. The quality of the food is outstanding. The King Karl bread was my favourite. The cakes are delicious as well. Another plus is the outside backyard patio which was very quiet. Super friendly staff and fast service. Highly recommend for breakfast or afternoon tea/ coffee.

I must say the coffee is not as good as one would expect from a place with such high ratings. BUT (there’s always a but) their käsekuchen was delicious. Every bite was happiness to me and would gladly come again another time for one or to try their breakfast.

One more thing: the fact that you have to go to the counter to order your cake and then wait for the server to come grab your “cake ticket” and bring it over to the table is quite inefficient.

Great breakfast options and lovely staff. Can highly recommend the deluxe breakfast for 2. The garden in the back was beautiful on a sunny day. The inside atmosphere was a bit crowded and chaotic.

Amazing food! I just loved everything. The service was fast, the space is big enough and the waiters can you give you enough attention. I will definitely come back.

Food was delicious and really nice ambiance; gorgeous skylight and fantastic service. Really nice patio seating at the back as well!

Great bakery with great staff. We had great breakfasts (a la carte) there every morning, and in the end left Cologne with boxes with pies/cakes for the whole family.

Great and promptly service.
Order the brunch for 2x! Loads of food, great that on the bread basket comes a paper bag so you can take the left over bread away.
Heard about the famous huge cheese cake, ordered one and it wasn’t as expected. The dough wasn’t crunchy and no flavor. The cream filling was ok, nothing special! But maybe coz I created high expectation !!
Overall it’s a nice place to go, had a large coffee and a glass of Prosecco to finish off.
