My children are in tears because of how rudely they were treated today inquiring about buying a turtle. Unbelievable, never ever.

As to the response from the owner. "We don't sell turtles to children." One, children have parents. Two, I have had multiple painted turtles since I was five and six years old. They are both now more than thirty years old, healthy and happy. This is the exact reason why I would avoid this pet shop. I have had multiple experiences where they have actively discouraged me to not buy animals. As a child I have had countless pets. Crows, turtles, frogs, newts, birds, snakes, mice, fish,cats and multiple dogs.
As the owner suggests, I would take their own advice and simply buy no animals from this shop and gladly let them live in the unloving, unfriendly, dirty atmosphere that this place refers to as a pet STORE.
