Excellent Vietnamese restaurant near Neumarkt but away from the hustle and bustle. It's located near residential buildings and felt very "local". The menu is simple but excellent. We had Banh Mi and it was super tasty. Very friendly, English-speaking staff and a really cool spot to pass a warm summer's evening! Would love to come back one day!

Very good Vietnamese dishes!
We had sweet potato fries, beef pho and vegetarian pho.
They are all very tasty. I highly recommend vegetarian pho (pho chay). Though it’s veg option, it’s still flavorful.

I was here for the Vietnamese sandwich (bánh mì) because at some point I am tired of Döner and missing the taste of bánh mì. I had chicken and my friend got pulled beef bánh mì and also Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. The bánh mì were okay but definitely not authentic enough for me to come back for another bánh mì here. Plus the bánh mì were quite pricey with not a lot of meat (so i definitely understood why Bánh mì cannot be as famous as Döner ????) However, the coffee was good, the fried sweet potato was ok and I liked the vibe and the service. I will be back to try Phở tho and of course more Vietnamese coffee.

Sweet potato: 4/5 stars (wish it could be more crunchy)
Vietnamese coffee: 5/5 stars

It’s ok…nice cozy place, we sat outside. About the food: the Banh Mi (7.50€) was very tasty…but it was already done with three bites, so they can be more generous.
The Pho (had the original beef 10.50€)…was lacking flavor…and very simple…it could be waaaay better.
Chum Chai is still the best Vietnamese restaurant in Köln….

Delicious Bahn Mi and Sweet Potato Fries! We also loved the Iced Vietnamese Coffee! We'll be coming back here every time we are in Cologne.

Viet coffee is so small i thought it was a prank lol (didn't take pic). Banh mi is good but i've had better. Service could be better imo

Very nice restaurant, serving a good variety of Banh Mi, if you have had enough Currywurst and Schnitzel.
