Food is excellent the German beef ribs are divine, Thai soup starter very tasty visit everytime I'm in chemnitz, washed down with a nice schwartz beer.

I picked this restaurant from among the others clustered round Schlossberg because there were few patrons and I wanted to read my book.

Well, the lack of patronage can't be because of the food. I had baked camembert, strindberg steak, and eierkuchen, and two beers al for 25 euros.

The food came rapidly, and was of superb standard. I would say that the ingredients, presentation, and cooking was of international standard. I'd have expected the chips with the steak to be hand cut rather than matchstick fries, but the chef has to have his head. Only two items on the menu had chips, the rest had rosemary potatoes, rosti, or bratkartoffelen, so that is the chef's choice.

The decor was exactly what I had hoped for - traditional saxony hospitality - tapestry upholstery and pale oak. I had a marvelous evening.

The place also offers accomodation. I have no idea what that is like, but German guesthouses are normally excellent.

Extremely good restaurant, fair prices, good food, good wine, nice and competent staff, if you are in Chemnitz and on the search for a restaurant, you need to try this one out

Wir waren heute essen und uns hat es wirklich gut gefallen. Das Ambiente ist urig und sehr aufwändig restauriert, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm, das Essen schon teurer aber sehr anschaulich und lecker zubereitet. Es gab eine saisonale Spargelkarte zusätzlich, auch wurde sehr gern auf spezielle Kundenwünsche eingegangen. Wir würden das Restaurant weiterempfehlen.
