Great experience! Every single aspect of this hotel and its services are perfect. Personal is top. Superior room is extraordinary, breakfast is top (quality). The Spa u0026 the massage is great. Recommend spending a few nights just there, relax and enjoy the views over the Rhine.

Stayed at the hotel while at a city-trip to Bonn and the surrounding area.

We loved our stay here!
Check-in was convenient, fast and the staff was super friendly.

The hotel itself has a really unique look. Fun architecture. The rooms themselves are great. Spacious, really great big shower, different lights, and overall very clean! One of the cleanest hotel rooms I've been in.

Roomservice was very tasty and arrived nice and warm. While it arrived fast the first day, the second day it took quite a while as the hotel was quite busy. Keep this in mind.

The spa is great too. Not the biggest, but everything is there. Sauna's, steam room, relax spaces and the infinity pool on the roof with a great view on the Rhine and Rheinaue Park.

Only one negative point is that it would be lovely if the parking would be included with the room. Right now it is not and it can add up quickly with it costing €25/day

Overall a great experience and much recommended.

Love this hotel for a weekend geatway! If is not too full the sauna is just wonderful and the infinity pool perfect looking over the Rhine River! Coffee and extras in the room could be better. Food in room service was also good!

Convenient for a one-night stopover. Glass building design does not cope well in temperatures over 30°C. The hotel air con, which I was told on checking out is actually a solar thermal facility, is not up to the job. Room temp on the fourth floor overnight was 26°C (air con unit said 17°C)... not a good night's sleep. Plus no way of opening the window. Fiddly lightswitches in the room. Design concept a matter of taste. Lots of dark wood, deep red, damask wallpapers. The rooftop infinity pool is nice, but tiny... more than four swimmers and it feels crowded. The breakfast on the terrace was excellent, but nothing I haven't had elsewhere. Taxi booked at reception went ok. We had no masks for the ride. Five star reception couldn't give us any either! Thankfully the taxi driver had a pack of fresh ones in his trunk. Interesting-looking bar in the foyer did not open for the duration of our visit.

There were several things that added up to a less than ideal experience. So bad that I left the hotel three days early.

I went to the hotel hoping to have a peaceful and restful stay. From the very beginning things were a bit off: due to train delays I arrived fairly late, after the normal kitchen was closed. The man checking me in failed to tell me that there was 24 hour room service for some items in the hotel and when I asked if I could have something delivered, he directed me to google it. I am not from the region, so that was a bit daunting, some help would have been nice.

For some reason, housekeeping kept their ‘home base’ in the hall just outside my room which woke me up and kept me awake very early every morning. They rarely refilled the coffee and when they did they didn’t refill the cream and there was no way to tell which pods were decaf and which were normal.
What’s more, the hairdryer was broken and although I called down to reception a few times for concerns, I was hung up on each time. Once I was lucky enough that the woman attending the spa called for me.

On the weekends there is a DJ in the lobby, which is a nice touch until you try to sleep with the bass pounding under your bed.

I also tried to go to the spa a few times. While it is nice, it was always very crowded. Of course, on gloomy days this is expected. What I did NOT expect was the lack of etiquette from the other guests and the staffs lack of enforcing standard spa etiquette. There were small children running around, jumping in the pool, and screeching loudly, there were groups of adults drinking abundantly and having loud discussions, also in the sauna and the quiet areas. There was nothing relaxing about the experience whatsoever. The area felt like a festival rather than a spa.

All of this added up to a rather stressful experience, not the restful getaway I was hoping for. So I left three days early. Upon check out I learned that I had also been charged for two breakfasts which I did not eat- I went once asking for a small piece of bread and a coffee and was told I had to buy the whole buffet breakfast, which I declined. I don’t know how one is charged for a breakfast they did not sign for and did not attend. Luckily the gentleman checking me out believe me and did not charge me the €62 for breakfast I didn’t eat. He did not, however, offer to make sort of refund for the days I was leaving early.

I suspect others may have a more enjoyable experience, but if it your aim to go for a quiet, relaxing, and restful stay then maybe look somewhere else.

There were urine spots on the toilet and the sink was also not properly cleaned and clogged. The hotel is far away from tourist attractions and restaurants. You pretty much need a car if you want to stay there. But the parking is 36 CHF per night which is pretty expensive. We also called room service but they didn’t come until the next day when we asked them in person.
I wouldn’t stay there again.

Kameha Grand saved Christmas 2021 for us. Omicron prevented us from traveling to be with our family in London so we checked in here on the 25.12… it was fantastic! The architecture is amazing …foyer felt like a place out of Alice in Wonderland, the cigar lounge sent us back to the speakeasy days, the bedroom … perfect. The Christmas Menu compensated for us not having the family… and the cosy spa and infinity pool overlooking the Rhein… everything was perfect. The staff were all friendly and competent. The Champagne Brunch was the crowning finale. I highly recommend the Kameha Grand for a timeout for two.
