Very rarely do I look at a menu and not find at least a couple of dishes I want to try. The combinations don't work in print and certainly don't work taste-wise. Lamb liver spaghetti - the spaghetti was edible, but little else was. I won't be back.

Let's go from weak to strong:

The atmosphere of this restaurant is a little kitschy (bed lines draped from the ceiling and strange color choices (bright red and green), rather than going for bold but not screaming choices. However, most people will overlook the owners' stranger tastes and appreciate the overall cleanliness of the place.

The service could be improved. For example, essentials such as water to quench your thirst, bread to take the edge of your hunger should be put out faster. The staff should also be proactive in ensuring that everything is OK, e.g., by asking. The staff seems to only be doing inspection by peeking at the customer's tables. How that reveals that the customers are still thirsty is not entirely clear, maybe they're just preserving some liquid to make sure they wont be sitting dry by the time the meal arrives. It would also be a good idea to ascertain that the customers are really enjoying their food, visual spot checks may fail to tell starvation from enjoyment.

Staff did respond well to customer requests.

The food is actually quite good and well-presented. This is the reason why I would recommend this restaurant. The price does match the quality of the food quite well. The meat/fish was good, i.e., it was all edible, neither over- nor under-cooked. The combinations are simple but appealing. The portion sizes match a normal appetite. Spices could be used a bit more boldly.

Unfortunately, this Google rating system does not offer a rating for the most important category food which would have been a 2/3.

Food is really delicious. Service is perfect. I really enjoyed my time here.

Maybe it is 5 stars. Dinner is top there. Ambiente is a bit basic.
