I've stayed here for 20 years. Holiday Inn. Park Inn. Mercure. Over the years the rooms got better. The pillows less argumentative. Breakfast is always good. A bit tempered by COVID. The bar seems to have shut past early evening. A naff fridge in the foyer is offered as alternative. And the lifts are still the slowest most annoying when it's busy. Forget about going for breakfast then back to the room. Pack up. Check out if the line is short. Then enjoy the very pleasant breakfast.

Temperature was not the right one. Too hot. Air conditioning was not working at all. Besides, the room was not well cleaned. the bin still had papers and waste from previous gest. the bath had a long hair stick to the one of the sides, but the most unpleasant point was the difficulty to sleep well due to the temperature

This is probably the best hotel in Bochum, must based on the lack of quality alternatives. It is still room for improvement regarding gym/fitness opportunities.
The the overall view is a standard Mecure hotel with very good location close to the train station!

The hotel is ok, the rooms are clean and the hotel is well situated and have their own parking. The air conditioner in the room will work fine for winter but in summer there is no cool air.

This hotel doesnt deserve to have 4 stars. My room was not cleaned in the morning and the mini bar not refilled. The bar in the lobby has reduced working time and sauna is not open. Clearly they have problems with stuff. Definitely overpriced (100€/night).

hotel clean and modern. the position is strategic because it's in front of the central station of Bochum. the breakfast is very good. personal is gentle and professional

Mercure Bochum City is perfectly situated across the street from the Hauptbahnhof. It's a high building with great room views over the surprisingly green city of Bochum. Friendly, flexible and efficient staff, great breakfast. Recommended!
