First time visiting and the food and service were great. Generous portions but the quality of the traditional offerings was a step above other places we have visited in the past. Would definitely recommend visiting.

This is a historical restaurant with very welcoming service. If you want German meal at a lovely place with great atmosphere, this is the place. Bit pricey but it is a historical site so well worth it.

A charming little restaurant.
The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was a delight.
Unfortunately I could only visit the once as all the other food looked amazing as well. I had the pigs knuckle (as per the English menu) and it was crispy on the outside and soft and delicious in the inside.
I wish I could visit regularly. Highly recommended if you can only pass through as well.

The place is truly unique, however I do recommend pre ordering your food if you are going with a larger group of people. During our last team lunch we had to wait 1.5 hours, but to be fair there was 14 of us. The disappointing part was that people who finished eating before 3pm could order deserts but those who didn't couldn't... nonetheless the food was delicious, definitely overpriced, but delicious! Toilet facilities were very clean, which is a plus.

The picture shows the knuckle of pork, which was tender inside and absolutely crispy outside! Well done. I can definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Berlin! It is Berlin's oldest running restaurant!

Enjoyed good quality and delicious traditional German food. Highlight was the onion tart. Also enjoyed crispy belly pork and stuffed cabbage. Very tasty but the portion was so large it defeated even a hearty eater!

Such an adorable and authentic place. We were looking for a low key German place and stumbled upon this beauty. Staff was super friendly and food amazing. As every German kitchen; got to be a meat lover. Will definitely come back soon.
