Truly a unique museum: it is not one of Berlin's biggest so you can enter in a quiet space with a few other people, where you almost forget the existence of the outside world.
It's a calm, cool and dark space, extremely relaxing!
The collection is not too big and is about Asian art such as Khmer sculptures, chinese furniture and contemporary art.
This choice of putting ancient and contemporary together gifts the visitors with a new interpretation of art, especially because there are no labels; in this way no explanation is given and people can find their own meaning to the pieces.
Of course there are also discreet and nice employees ready to answer to possible questions by the visitors.
The atmosphere is almost surreal, thanks to the darkness that reigns in the place and the magical room with a body of water next to one of the exhibition halls. The building is a fascinating WW2 bunker that has been left in its original forms: really unexpected and beautiful!
Being down there with the statues, in the silence, is like living in a dream; one can also just meditate in front of the pieces. It's not a simple visit to a collection, it's an emotional experience!
