Great place to hangout by the river in summer — Very clean amd organized, beachvolley and some other games available! Food is very likited to Flammkuchen and Fried, but decent cocktails and amazingly unfiltered Tankbier!

One of the perfect getaways in Berlin.
Paddle boats, Kayaks are perfect for one or two people, for groups reserve the rafts or motor boats earlier.

The place was nice but it is a bit far when you come to the place with a public transport from the heart of Berlin.

We visited yesterday. Heatwave and 37 degree Celsius, so we were hoping to spend some nice time by the water with our toddler.

Sadly it didn't go as planned. We had to wait a long time to get it - which was understandable on heatwave Sunday. The place was full and they only let people in once someone left. Not much they could do. However..

When we finally paid the ticked and got in nobody had told us that there were no more umbrellas available for rent. There was nowhere to sit by the beach under the scorching sun as the tiny number of umbrellas available had all been rented out (most were lying around on the beach, closed and unused, but strangely 'unavailable').

The results is that people were amassed in the shaded area under the tree canopy towards the eastern side of the beach, and given this was packed to the rafters already the only other option left was to sit on the benches by the restaurant.

Another massive problem if you have small kids is that this is not really a beach. There is sand, then there is a sudden concrete-built drop and then deep-ish water. Impossible for a toddler to go back and forth with water and sand toys.

Massive disappointment and we won't be coming back. The lakes in SW Berlin are far better.

Beautiful place for a one day outing. You can walk through the forest, eat from near by cafes. Truly rejuvenating.

Beautiful place. *If you're taking public transportation you will need to walk a ways to get there.

Extremely cozy and tasty. Staff is always so friendly!
We love and enjoy this place since last 3 years (summers).
It's so great to see how young and ambitious people can change environment and change the world! You rock, guys! Don't stop.
