St Nikolai Kirche, or St Nicholas Church is the oldest church in Berlin, built between 1220-1230. It is situated in Nikolaiviertel - Nikolas Quarter, the area of restored medieval buildings.

Oldest church in Berlin. We got a free visit as I think it's the first Sunday of the month.

It is the oldest town in Berlin founded about 1200.

Such helpful staff, and a beautiful, historic landmark. It's really such a tragedy how it was largely destroyed, but the reconstruction has been painstakingly undertaken to faithfully replicate the church pre-war.

Interesting to see such an old church, but I was a little disappointed that there was so much about and from 1600– today, and so little from 1200–1300, comparatively. This is, however, not a fault of the museum but a result of the church being in active use throughout the centuries.
