Very beautiful synagogue! Unfortunately, a small community and a very dry (unegalitarian) service are unable to fill it with the energy and inspiration a vital relation to tradition could provide. Five stars as a museum, but for a community center much room for improvement!

A modest street frontage conceals a modest courtyard and entrance, which leads to a surprisingly large and warm place of worship. A beautifully decorated sanctuary and ark also provided wonderful acoustics for the wonderful talents of the resident cantor.

I don't know what was the actual reason for my rejection in entering the synagogue. But it was uncomfortable and sad, because I really wanted to see the place and find out if there are people from our country.
Also i may suppose the veil on my had was triggering for the guard or I looked too exhausted and cold because of the wind.
Or for whatever reason I couldn't come inside , while other people was going in

Not a synagogue that you can go inside. Police outside said it was a school and not for visiting.

You can't really get pictures from outside.

Disappointing but understandable.

I sat there in this restored synagogue on a Friday evening and thought, "I am surrounded by beauty and a hushed spirit that cried 'Life.'"
