I have lived there for few days, as I arrived first time to Berlin, It was really a great experience to stay there, staring of cleanliness, organized, stylish, central location, friendly stuff, free bikes to go around the city with, that is a great option for saving the environment and staying fit too! The breakfast was really really great, variety of different food that fits everyone from Vegan to meat lovers, and it was such a big surprise that it was free of charge as well! Highly recommended ????????????????

one of the most beautiful and cleanest hostels in the waist. The owner of the facility is really helpful and smiling. The rooms are a little small, but they do the job. Usually breakfast is included in the price and starts around 8 am. The only drawback is the location. You may have to walk a little to the metro stop, or you can take the bus + metro to go to the center. We were generally satisfied. Most importantly, the showers and sinks were really clean.

We went to the hostel based on all the good reviews. Unfortunately our experience was much different.

The good: The train station was about a 10 minute walk away; the room itself was relatively clean albeit small. It was also not expensive (people in a bigger room paid approx 24 euro and if you only shared with 1 person it was about 32 euro).

The bad: We did not feel safe here - the rooms had door digital locks but all of the rooms have the same easy code (123456)! There was a tiny cabinet for each person in the room where you could store your things, but the key and lock is ridiculously small and would be totally ineffective against someone who wanted to break in. The window in our room was also not closing properly. This also meant that it was noisy at night. The bed was squeaky and there was only 1 small thin blanket which meant that, with the broken window, it was quite cold and I woke up frequently. The walls are also quite thin and I could hear someone snorting and walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The photos of the bathroom were also deceiving and definitely taken with a wide angle lens - this was easily one of the smallest bathrooms I have had the misfortune to be in. You could probably use the toilet, wash your hair and brush your teeth all at the same time. Furthermore, when we arrived I noticed there was a big pile of trash and empty bottles lying next to the gate in the inner courtyard. The photos of the kitchen under the Google reviews must have been taken when it was tidied up and cleaned, since when we were there it was very cluttered and it looked like the coffee machine hadn't been properly cleaned in days/weeks. The breakfast was also a bit odd and sparse - I think it total all of the ingredients could not have cost more than 30 euros (supposedly enough for approx 9+ people). There was a selection of different things but each plate had about 1 item strewn across a big plate with huge gaps in between the tiny pieces of fruit/ham/cheese - i.e. 2 slices of ham cut into triangles arranged on a plate 30cm in diameter with a ton of leaves/herbs/flowers strewn about to make it look nice I suppose.

In the end we left feeling a little miserable.

It was very great. The people attending were so nice and helpful woth everything. The best part is that you can borrow a bike from them for free and I used it to get to know a lot of parts of the city. It was all clean and organized.

Lots of good things about this little hostel and a couple of not-so-great things.
It's very clean, cosy and lovingly decorated by a thoughtful owner with an eye for detail and her guests needs. Check in and access is extremely easy with codes for the gates and room. No need for keys or cards to lose. There was a breakfast which is so beautifully presented, it felt like I shouldn't eat it. The free breakfast also provides an opportunity to meet other people staying there. There are free lockers. It's pretty quiet, not too much road noise and it's not a party neighbourhood. Transport connections are good with a Ubahn less than 10 minutes away. As I said, there are lots of positives.

On the downside. My room was perhaps a little too cosy for 3 people. I saw inside one room which was a bit bigger, perhaps it's luck of the draw. Whilst the bed was comfortable, the bunk bed frame was not very robust. The whole frame shook as I climbed to the top bunk and it shook again when I or the bottombunker moved in bed. So I hope the owner can save up and invest in some new bed frames over time.

The toilet/shower situation wasn't great first thing in the morning. There is no separate toilet that I could find which created queues for just using a toilet. I had to leave before I could get a shower.

Overall, a positive experience.
