Not worth the money. I was here for business travel. The hotel is showing it age but still flows fairly well.

Front staff was nice while lounge and restaurant were awful.

Staff was untrained and didn't provide the service expected for the price point. Orders wrong and didn't even bother to bring bread to our table while other tables receive it.

Lounge was also awful. Like the restaurant, very poor service. Paid an overage of u003c1 euro for beer, we were charged over 7 euro for the same beer.

Considering we paid over 500 Euro for a room for a night, I would expect much better.

The staff are courteous, polite and helpful. They speak English if necessary and are wonderful people. The service is great and the breakfast is something anyone must try. However, the room was somewhat cramped and lacking (no coffee machine or coffee) for the price expected. The staff are not to blame here, but Mercure management itself. This hotel is far too overpriced. The issue is that they feel no need to reduce prices as no competitors are found nearby Tegel Airport.

Well I offered to stay here after a delayed flight. The pool was small but nice. The rooms were decent and had the typical no frills look. The staff especially the restaurant and bar staff were quite rude and unpleasant. Given that many patrons were probably stressed to be there I would have thought that the staff would have been more cordial. If I had the choice I would not stay here again.

We were put up here when our flight was cancelled.
Nice hotel, clean rooms with nice TV and such. The staff are also incredibly lovely and helpful. Shane about the rump steak, wasn't asked how I wanted it so came pretty overdone.. But I imagine more care would be taken if it wasn't a gift from easyjet!

The hotel itself is nice and well kept. The rooms are nicely furnished with nearly all necessary facilities if a little small (I would have loved a fridge). There is a funky smell but that seems to be a berlin problem. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and excellent customer service. The food is excellent and the bar very well serviced and stocked if a little pricey. Overall I would recommend this hotel highly.

After a day of lost luggage, the Hotel Staff let me check in hours early. Room was good as expected, bathroom amenities were amazing, as I had a toothbrush and toothpaste kit waiting along with the standard toiletries. I'm impressed and would definitely go back.

This hotel is clean and has no odor of cigarette smoke, except perhaps outside by the pool where people are allowed to smoke. They have friendly front desk staff and a cooler stocked with incidentals. The elevator was large for German elevators. They would compare to a small to medium US elevator. I give it only 3 stars for a couple of reasons. First, the room was HOT. We turned down the air to the lowest setting, and the fan to the highest, and it was still blistering hot. I went to the front desk and told them about it and the gentleman went to our room to check it out. He told my husband "yes, it is a little warm." We ended up opening up the window, which resulted in a bunch of mosquito bites. The coffee makers in the room will only work with the makers proprietary coffee/tea plastic units. I just wanted some hot water for my preferred teabags, nope. It absolutely will not make just hot water. I did ask for a hot water pot from the front desk and they delivered it to our room (thank you!). If you've got bad knee's you may want to look at their showers before you get a room. The shower system is in a "keyhole" shape, and a good 1.5 foot step up over the tub ledge to get in. The water pressure and temps were great (no cold shots from toilet-flushing's). Our room had a stocked refrigerator and common in-room safe. Now, to describe the bed. We had a queen size bed. It was firm, which was fine but there was no mattress pad at all. Just a mattress and a fitted sheet. Not what I call comfortable. The box spring was similar to a hide-a-bed. Every time one of us moved, or rolled, it was like riding a wave on the ocean. Overall, besides the uncontrollable heat wave, the room was satisfactory. Heads-up, there is an OUTDOOR, unheated pool only.

Lastly, I'd like to touch upon the restaurant. The food was fabulous! Really, every morsel of food from the restaurant was excellent. We had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. I had the sea bass and I'll say it was the best I'd ever had. The service was 67% great. Our first server (lunch) was friendly and very professional. Our dinner server was a blond young lady. What's weird is that she was very friendly and courteous to my husband but she turned your body so she faced my husband the whole time and spoke to him only. I thought "what the heck?" I actually gave her my drink order to her back, she never looked at me at all. What the ???. I'm not sure if it was a cultural thing but I walk BESIDE my husband, not behind him. I expect the equal courtesy. Kinda made me angry, which the other server picked up on and took over our table. He was professional, courteous, and helpful with our questions. So, yes I definitely recommend the restaurant. It's likely the rudeness was just her age and inexperience. You will want to try the sorbet, it's heavenly.
