Looks like the restaurant overcame previous challenges - we had a superb evening. Enjoyed the tuna and octopus A LOT, as well as the lively atmosphere. Staff were attentive and trying. A bit of wait is normal these days, but in our case totally within acceptable time frames even if the restaurant was packed.

Compliments especially to the chef! Will def return.

Great experience, delicious cocktails. Paul made the best espresso martini and gin sour I’ve had in Berlin, make sure to talk to him if you come here. Overall great service, ambience, and music. The flowers at the entrance were a nice touch.

Unlike other reviewers I was not bothered by many dishes served on salty bread - and found almost all of the food, from the octopus appetizers to the steak, which was one of the best I have had in Berlin, to be good. The service was friendly, competent even if a little bit distracted. But all good. Ambiance is sultry, almost nightclubish, and I would recommend the restaurant for a gathering of friends or a birthday celebration, especially on a weekend when they have a DJ and the place gets rambunctious.

Made a much better experience than the other reviews. Been here a few years back and was surprise how it turned into one of the best experiences in Berlin. Food phenomenal, vibey DJ (not too loud), friendly service. Will be back more often ????????

Nice restaurant with decent food, but service was (again) a nightmare!

I’ve been second time at this restaurant, but made the same experience as first time.

We had a reservation and were seated at a table right in the front of the kitchen and entrance where everybody from waiters til guests passed to the toilet or kitchen, though there were a lot of tables free. It felt like we had no reservation. We kindly asked for another table and it was clear that the hostess didn’t like our request. We finally were placed to another table, which was ok.

The drink menus showed different pricing (same bottle of wine was 40€ in wine card and 55€ on the food menu!). When asking the waiter about the differences he apologized and said the menus were to be changed next week.

Service continued to be horrible when the waiter almost run away after asking taking our order for drinks though we had said we wanted to order food as well. He said he‘d bring the drinks first. We insisted on placing our food order and he finally agreed to take it.

Starters were really good and came fast.

After finishing our bottle of Crémant a different waitress showed up and tried to offer us a bottle of champagne, though we hadn’t asked for it. She continued to sell the champagne by stating they only had one bottle left and it felt like she was ignoring us saying no to champagne.

Main course was ok. The oyster mushrooms were grilled too long, tasted dry and were hard to chew.

At 10 pm the lights were dimmed and the DJ turned up the music so loud, that we had to scream to understand. Almost every table in the restaurant was still eating or in a conversation and it felt like they were trying to push the club feeling though the guests clearly weren’t in the mood.
The only ones enjoying the party feeling was the staff.
When we tried to ask for the bill the waiters just kept dancing and ignoring guests.

Overall:
- food was ok
- restaurant ambient is quite nice
- it’s a nice idea to turn the restaurant into a club after dinner, but it’s irritating when guests are ignored and clearly still eating or in a conversation
- service is horrible

One of the best Israeli restaurants in Berlin. Classic, elegant with good food and good energies. The chef of the restaurant is amazing! Yummi dishes !

Mani Restaurant is one of the restaurants I always recommend to someone visiting Berlin. The food is simple, unpretentious but of great taste and quality. Try the fish plates as they all deliver their promise, but do not underestimate the meat plates as they too live up to the expectations. Highlights are the design and atmosphere, the great service and the freshly baked bread.
