Negative u0026 positive : Read it all before you choose this hotel.

Negative things:
Very Old building.
Reception is not appealing and there is no toilet at the reception.
The walls are too thin and it's generally loud for light sleepers.

Positive things:
Good for family.
Comfortable beds.
Satisfactory breakfast.
Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis even for prolonged stay.
Not far from train (4 minutes) and bus (1 minute) station.
Grocery stores and diverse restaurants are within walking distance.

I know they are hard to get rid of but... Bed bugs galore!! The building itself is old, it could be a really nice hotel if done up a little bit. If you look past the dated painting and old carpets the actual bones of the building are nice. The breakfast that was included was a continental style with fruit juices. Which was nice. The breakfast is served in the attached restaurant which at night time is an extremely busy vegetarian restaurant. Local meal prices are cheap for Berlin. There is a park and a shop just around the corner, park is not amazing but for the kids in the morning was fine. Stayed for a night on the way to Poland.

Disgusting hotel who are interested in only taking your money. I booked the hotel months in advance, in good faith. Then, the pandemic hit and my flights were cancelled. This was long before the date of my stay. I informed the hotel and Boooking.com and requested a refund and both refused to refund even a penny, even though I had no way of getting to the hotel because of the pandemic. Money hungry, fraudulent hotel. Money-hungry Booking.com who won't help customers who have been booking with them and keeping their business for years. This particular hotel is rude and doesn't have any compassion towards customers and will take your money even when they have no right to, without helping you one bit.

The price is low, but breakfast is adequate. The place is a bit worn, but room cleaning is very lazy and got even more lazy during the stay. As such I can only recommend staying one or two nights.
The neighborhood was interesting and the people I met were friendly.

Insane amount of bedbugs. The receptionist didn’t even blink when I brought down this drinking glass with several. This isn’t even all that I caught as I flushed a few more down the toilet. Right now my body is covered in bites all around my neck, wrist, arm, and groin. I was forced to sleep in the bathroom on towels as far away from the bed as possible. One of the worst nights of sleep I’ve ever had. Receptionist tells me he can’t give me a refund because it’s Sunday. Wasn’t so helpful in finding a trash bag to isolate my belongings into... a literal nightmare...

It's not a horrible hotel, but not as advertised. Rooms don't look anything like pictures, wi/fi don't work unless you find sweet spot and don't move from it, bathrooms barely have any space. However bar/breakfast are was nice and cozy
