The location of the hotel is fantastic and just in the middle of everything. We were on a family trip with me, my husband, my brother and my mother. Therefore we booked 3 rooms (2 single and 1 double). All of the rooms were very nice and clean. One of the single rooms had view over the river, which was very beautiful.

The people in the reception was friendly and helpful most of the time.
The breakfast was okay, but the young male chef/ employee was not at all service-minded and seemed very uninterested, and with a bad attitude.
The breakfast was nothing special, but it was okay.

Very nice!
The suite was very good and the view was great.
Breakfast was ok but the best part was the chef making eggs of your choice fresh.

I had multiple uncomfortable u0026 troublesome experiences at this hotel (I stayed early September 2022).

1) I arrived on time at check-in time, checked in as normal and staff told me my room was ready and they gave me key card. As soon as I entered my room, I was taken aback. The room was disheveled u0026 dirty. It appeared as if someone was living there. I immediately left and went to the lobby. The lobby told me it turns out cleaning staff had yet to clean the room. They apologized and I said it's OK, can they clean it now or is there another room available? I had just completed a 6hr travel journey u0026 was ready to rest, but I was understanding as mistakes happen. The front desk told me they would clean the room. I didn't mind waiting for a bit. Finally, 1.5-2 hours after check-in (mind you I had to inquire as to the room's progress, they did not keep me updated), room was ready. I went into my now clean room, closed and locked the door, u0026 then 5 mins later, SOMEONE ENTERED MY LOCKED ROOM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. It was the cleaning staff dropping off pen/paper. Now, in most cases the little details are nice, however it was entirely unacceptable that hotel staff told me my room was ready u0026 THEN PROCEEDED TO ENTER with no knocks. I was shaken up as I was a solo female traveler, but I still was forgiving as again, sometimes mistakes happen. HOWEVER, that was just the beginning of an uncomfortable time at this hotel.

2) As an apology gift for the late check-in, the hotel comped my breakfast for my stay. Note I was fully appreciative of the gesture. However in retrospect I wish they hadn't because it was one of the most awkward experiences I have had traveling. My first morning there, I went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, but the restaurant manager kept asking me to pay because I was apparently not on his list. I told them about the agreement with the lobby, but he kept insisting on payment. I said I would clear things up, so I went to the lobby and explained the miscommunication u0026 the receptionist told me do not worry and to eat breakfast, and she would talk with him. Assuming all was sorted out as promised, I ate my breakfast u0026 left when I was done. However--the hotel manager RAN AFTER ME OUT OF THE RESTAURANT SCOLDING ME FOR PAYMENT. It was embarrassing u0026 unprofessional. Especially to be blamed for the hotel's error AGAIN. The lack of communication between staff was astounding. I technically had a free breakfast my second morning, but honestly I was scared of a repeat situation so I just did not go.

3) As an aside from the poor experiences with staffing and hotel organization--the room itself was uncomfortable and unsanitary. The single room (I was traveling alone) has a shower u0026 sink immediately NEXT TO BED. The floor got wet/musty. It was gross as there was no ventilation.

Beautiful hotel and location. Staff were extremely kind polite, and very knowledgeable; they helped us plan our trip to Berlin. The suite is spacious and its decoration is quite tasteful. This was a treat for us and something we will remember for a long time. We were made to feel valued and welcome. We got what we paid for and some.

One thing you can say about this hotel. They have a great photographer. In true looks much worse than on the pictures. But the worste part was that there is no reception during the night. The door was blocked and there was noone to pick the phone up. I had to wait 30 minutes.
The cleaning lady, that entred the room without knocking (how could this be possible at all?), at 10:30, was just a cherry on the cake

Great location - very weird smelling bathroom and no toilet paper.

1. It is NOT a hotel, but serviced rooms.

2. Old towels that even had holes in them!

3. The room was not cleaned after the first night.

4. Rooms unfinished: broken shower, broken window, the heating did not work (it was 9°C at night and chilly in the room), the tablet referred as a control system in the pictures was not present in the room.

5. Reception is closed on weekends u0026 holidays and after 5PM on regular days. You can pic your keys at a nearby restaurant (is this a hotel, really?). No responses via call or e-mail to questions/support requests.

6. The rooms are allocated in the 3rd floor of a residential building, i.e. you share exactly the same old and not so nice elevator and stairs as the residents.

7. 7 days after complaining and still no reaction has been taken.

8. This "hotel" really ruined the atmosphere for a cozy weekend my couple an me were looking for.

9. Don't be fooled by the fancy pictures. For me: it ruined the weekend with my couple, never again, for the price you can easily get a real hotel with breakfast in an equally good location in Berlin (!).
