Ok place to stay if you are on a budget. The hotel could do so much better if they take a couple of things into consideration:

1. Communication
Me and two friends stayed three nights at this hotel. Among four staff we approached only one could converse in English. I tried to ask for more toilet paper (we got only half a roll upon arrival) and a bottle opener (to open the bottled water the hotel gave us as a courtesy) in English, ended up receiving confused looks.

Luckily I speak some awkward German and managed to get what we needed. The ladies working at the hotel were all friendly to us and tried their best to help. But as it's a medium sized hotel in metropolitan Berlin taking international guests, it feels unfair to expect everyone to know German.

2. Noise
The easiest way to lock the room doors from outside is to slam it. Of course one could also lock the door with a key but all we heard was the bang.

Our air conditioning made quite some gorgoeling sound, too. Wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper or if you like to sleep through the day.

Great hotel, clean and very well situated for visiting Berlin. Rooms were very clean but quite simple (tv was missing). Kind staff, great breakfast and nice lounge to chill in.

I stayed for 5 nights. The room is all right, it's quiet stylish like the complete hotel but also basic. I would have liked a more comfortable chair to get some work done and I disliked the bed. Unfortunately my toilet seat was broken and it did not get fixed during my stay.
The service is bad. The lady's at the reception are always annoyed and are not very inviting or friendly. The cleaning service was okay but they did not change any blankets which were put on the wrong way and they did not fully empty the trash bin. I don't know how much the toilets get cleaned, you would expect that they notice the broken toilet seat. The room wasn't dirty but it wasn't especially clean either. Could be the Typ of floor and rougs they use don't get much cleaner.
The location is allright and it's quiet at night. For my next trip I would look for a different hotel.

Very nice small hotel with great location. Rooms are clean with view to the city. Also breakfast was very good and staff very friendly.

Could be a little cheaper, but overall, especially the location, pretty good.
The bathroom door could not be locked, the „smart-tv“ did not have any smart features besides Bluetooth and one of the lights did not work, but the AC and the view were nice.

In Spring 2022, my husband and I loved Hotel Birgit. Air conditioning! But also big windows opening to cool air when wanted. Great location, just one block from subway. Short subway ride to Alex Platz, main train station or even Potsdamer Platz. Pretty and friendly residential neighborhood, across the street from a charming elementary school and playground. Just a couple blocks from Mauer Park, a special experience on a Sunday afternoon. Also, a nice looking breakfast for a fee, but we chose to walk out and find a bakery for coffee and kuchen, our weakness. We actually would return to this lovely Prenslauerberg hotel!

Hotel Was Good, but on the floor next to the elevitors smells like dogs and cats overall taking a pis there every 5 minutes, please get rid of the smell
