Holiday Inn Berlin - City East Side, an IHG Hotel

Superb hotel. Close to Mercedes-Benz Arena, Berlin Wall and river Spree. 2 metro stations with a distance walk. My room was on 7th floor so I had nice panoramic views over the Berlin. The room size was good and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was served from 6.30am and it was delicious. Plenty of options to choose and it was fresh. Staff was very friendly. I hope to get back soon.

The hotel is in a good location, on a quiet backstreet between the wall and the East Side Mall shopping center/Mercedes Benz Arena.

The rooms are clean and spacious enough although the bathroom could have been just a little bit bigger.

Breakfast is OK, pretty standard at this price range and a good selection of foods.

The hotel has some reserved spaces in the underground garage, which you should pre book before arriving and this makes staying here when traveling by car a great choice.

They have rental bikes but there are also shared bikes and scooters available most of the time in close vicinity.

Clean. Convenient location to attractions, transportation, and food options. Rewe close by as well. Breakfast is excellent… many great options, worth getting up for… and I like sleep. Only thing I would change, I wish the windows would open completely as the AC is slow and I wish I had a mini fridge. Would definitely stay here again. ☺️

Been there for a concert for a few days! The rooms are clean and nice! The location is great! Next to a shopping mall and the concert venue! There's also a few nice restaurants close by and you can easily walk to the spree by foot! Service was also okay! Will go again the next time I'll visit Berlin for a concert :)

As Spire Elite member I get to stay and experience many different IHG hotels and locations. Most with a very positive outcome, this one unfortunately not at all.

My reservation was made a month in advance, when I arrived at hotel a Handicapped Accessible room was assigned to me, hotel complete sold out so I guess Hotel management just gave me whatever was left.

I am quite tall person and everything in the room was located very low including bath room facilities. Perfect for disabled guest thus not for me. I asked staff for a different room thus none available.

After two nights I can conclude this was my first and only stay at this hotel, fortunately there any many much better IHG hotel choices in Berlin.

Horrible Customer Service

I came in Berlin for celebrating my birthday with a friend and since the first moment I walked in this hotel I felted unwelcome, the kind of unwelcome for not being German. Couple of kids at the reception are really trying but other than that everyone else is very unfriendly and rude.
Nobody as the courtesy to says " Good Morning or Good Evening". At the breakfast the only food available is horrible and very generic. The fruit was the only thing I can eat but mostly the time not really fresh. The cleaning for Covid it was ridiculous, to clean a table they didn't even move the silverware. Everyone is on the phone or chatting with each other instead to be friendly with the customers. I’m very glad I didn’t find the same rudeness in Berlin.
The American standard for this hotel is below the normal expectation.

Great place to stay in. We had really nice, clean room. We get tasty breakfast. Everyone find something suitable for him. Good comunication, especially when you came for event in Mercedes Benz Arena.
