Incredible place with a lot of history behind it. It is more then just an ordinary airport as it went trough a lot of phases. You can't go through this place alone you have to join a tour as the place is just way to massive to go walking through alone. The guided tour is of incredible quality as it explains a lot about the place and tries to show you everything.

An incredibly interesting and super-historic building, a must when visiting Berlin. Really worth doing the guided tour (which is available through English), 2 hours of intrigue and rich history. Lars was a great tour guide!

Best English guided tour I have been on for a while! The guide (her name was Celine if I remember correctly) knew Everything about the airport and a good knowledge of German history. Definitrly worth the 15/10€ for a two hour tour where you can see so much! You will have a chance to go up to a terrace on the roof!

Would not recommend for people, who can't be standing the whole time, there are no seats anywhere. Also not for people afraid of elevators, we had one with us and she missed parts of the tour waiting for us on the ground floor.

The guided tour in English was really interesting, we saw many of the old used as well as unfinished parts of the building, and even went down into a bunker beneath part of the building, and up to the roof. The guide was excellent, obviously really invested in the history of the building. It's two hours of pretty much constant walking and several flights of stairs so wear comfortable shoes!

Can really recommend the tours if the buildings. You learn a lot about the history, particularly the Berlin Blockade. The building is massive with over 7000 rooms and 1.3km in length. Tours are available in English and German and it's worth booking ahead. Take two hours.
