I had this place for quite some time on my to-go list. Well, it's not moving to my "go-again-list".
Three stars:
-First, €4,5 for coffee? Yes, it's all you can drink but there's not the option to order a single cup or anything else besides filter coffee.
-Second, value for money. €13 for the plate you see on the picture, quantity is good but the quality is very average.

My partner and I came for Brunch on a Saturday and got a table right at the spot which we really hadn't expected. Service was super friendly. We ordered the coffee with free top ups, a breakfast tea, the smoothie of the day, a mixed plate and the sweet u0026 salty. The food took pretty long but that was mentioned in the menu so we weren't surprised. The smoothie was good for that waiting time. The atmosphere was great and when our food came we were so so happy! Everything was delicious, our favourite was the chicken waffles! Only bummer was that they forgot to add the seasonal fruits on my pancakes. We were both absolutely stuffed so we'd actually recommend sharing something, especially if you want to try more food in Berlin!

What a brunch! Love this place, it is so cool❤️ we had such a good time, food was amazing! The chicken waffles omg ???? delicious. Music was great, the waitresses were so polite and friendly! I will definitely come back

Definitely the best boozy brunch spot in Berlin! You may need to wait a few minutes to get seated but it is soo worth the wait! The food was delicious and the coctails were banging! Staff were also incredibly sweet and helpful!

Tasty huevos rancheros, good service and could easily find outside seating on Sunday at 10am. Drinks : e.g. filter coffee 4€ a bit pricey. Inside u0026 outside atomsphere are nice. 1€ is added on top of your order as a donation.

Unfortunately, we can not agree with the repeatedly expressed recommendation in foodblogs at all. For us, Geist im Glas is totally overhyped. Our visit was overshadowed by negative experiences from start to finish and will therefore be our last.

When we arrived, a small line had already formed. We were placed on a bench and could order something to drink, while waiting for a table. Before I had even looked through the card, a red-haired waitress suddenly arrived and tore the card unannounced from my hand and gave it to other guests.

We then got a table quite quickly, but then the longest waiting time ever begun. We (and also other guests next to our table) waited 90 minutes (!) for our food. Two of us had a coffee flat rate and wanted to pour themselves some coffee after no waiter cared about us. Thereupon, one of us was reprimanded in a very rude manner to refrain from doing so.
This was not the only negative experience with the service. The same waitress from the beginning was also responsible for us later. Her vibes were unbearable. She seemed to absolutely hate her job and her behavior was rude and unfriendly. Surely it is not always easy to work in service. And we are also used to a somewhat rougher tone in Berlin. But if you don't like working with people at all, as she made impression, you'd better look for another job. Otherwise, you just spoil everyone's day.

When the first food arrived, I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food. In the end, the wait wasn't even worth it, as the food was average at best.
The prices are also quite high for the small portions.

In the end, you could not even pay with a card.

Our conclusion: Save your money, don't get screwed and avoid this place.

Before I start my review I have to specify that I came at saturday 1pm~ so I am note sure if this is the average experience here but, it is REALLY understaffed. Its taken them 15 minutes to take my order and over an hour to deliver and only after when they deliver I am informed that they have ran out of some ingredients. If the vibes were not this good I don't think anybody would agree to being served like this.
