Quiet neighborhood, great food, and nice service. You can taste the traditional German food here.

One of the best restaurants in Berlin in terms of German traditional food, even if the restaurant has seen tastier days.

A nice place whose main appeal is the location next to beautiful Rüdesheimer Platz. It can get busy on the evenings. You'll find here some traditional cuisine, but no light or vegan options. Still I enjoyed a drink and an apple strudel while my friend had decent cheese Spätzle. You can pay with cash or EC card.

I didn't have a good experience at all. About twenty tables were slowly served by only one unwilling waitress, who explained about the small portion of bread she brought along by touching one of the slices with her own pen. Ended up paying €22 for two drinks and a portion of olives. Not going back.

Always liked Landauer - we used to take friends and out-of-towners there to experience great German cuisine. Now, not so much anymore, and here is why:
I recently called to make a reservation. Due to the COVID pandemic, we wanted to sit outside (which is usually not our first or even second choice because of all the smokers sitting there as well, but what can you do). I was told that they were not accepting reservations for their outdoor dining space. If we wanted to make a reservation, we'd have to sit inside.
Their business must still be booming, and clearly they don't need to make adjustments to keep their guests safe in times of corona. Since we had no interest in dining in an unsafe environment, we quickly found another restaurant willing to let us make an outdoor reservation. Landauer is off of our list of desirable dining locations. If they don't care about us as patrons, we don't need to go eat there, simple as that.

Tasty German food, good drinks selection, big outdoor dining area, and helpful, friendly staff. Best of all it's relatively inexpensive if you're not a local. But for Berlin, prices are a little above average though worth it
