This is a good idea in theory, and was probably really nice when it was first made. But unfortunately it's in a really bad state with most lanterns vandalised and broken.
Many of the plaques aren't legible anymore and few of the lanterns work at night time.
I hope this place gets some love and restoration soon!

Wow what a very cool place. The Gaslight lamp Museum, but More like a self guided tour in the park and of course free. Over 90 different style lamps from cities all over Germany. What a gorgeous promenade looking at all the different lamps through the ages. Wonderful walk behind the zoo. I went during the day, so I did not see them all lit up, but all the better to see their details. And some were vandalized but the majority were not. Worth the detour through the park to check it out.

Nice idea unfortunately destroyed by vandals. Most of the lights don’t work and brojen

The idea is great and the I've never seen anything like it before, but a lot of the plaques were missing/broken/illegible.

We found it quite disappointing, sadly most lights were not working.
