Quite small compared to other castles / palaces. Seems more like a palace than a castle to me. Either way one of the most beautiful palaces I’ve seen in Europe. It was probably recently renovated because everything seemed in mint condition. It’s nice that it’s inside the Zoo so u can still visit otter things in the area.

Visiting the Tierpark, you need to see the castle too! Fantastic exhibitions! Great building!

As i wanted to visit this castle during admission hours, some pimply young man standing inside next to the table with filled champagne glasses, said that the castle is closed. As i pointed that according to the leaflet i've aquired at the Tierpark's ticket office the castle is open and that i've paid for my admission ticket, the said pimply man only laughed saying that he's "sorry" for my money, because, despite the front door being open, in fact the castle is closed. Afterwards some middle aged female emplyee shouted at me that the castle is closed, this time on german.
No explanation, why in fact the castle is closed. I can only gueess that there was scheduled some party for former ddr communists lol.
Shittiest customer service i've ever seen.

There are not many buildings that survived ownership changes in this volume.

We enjoyed the Schloss quite a bit. Would recommend for anyone that is a fan.

Nice building located at the entrance of the tierpark. Perfect place for a sunny day.
