FitX Hauptstraße is quite great gym, opened 24/7 and offers many diffeeent equipments to build any bodyshape you want. I'm member for many years now, there are things I like and I don't. I like some policies they have that benefit members. For me, the biggest issue I have is that sometime the gym can be really full, I can barely use the equipment I need. I'm glad that now you can see how busy the gym is on their app. I also figured out which is the better timing to visit.

Over years, the fitness studio is getting older, I am happy they are going to renovate it finally. Just read their announcement, from 16th May to 1st July, quite a long time. I can't wait to see the new look of this place.

No air conditioning in a super hot summer day. I expect from my gym to have proper air conditioning in order for me to enjoy my workouts. It makes zero sense to me to work out when inside is almost hot as outside and taking into consideration that I went to a just renovated gym Very disappointed! I couldn't finish my workout just because of the heat. This is unacceptable!

AC is not working, very often overloaded, not enough free weights for this amount of customers. No space for warm-up (special room which would suit for that is always busy with group trainings)

I like the gym, but it's incredibly hot inside in summer days, this is totally nuts and the answers they are giving doesn't make any sense! it's not about getting the place super cold, but not being around or over 30 degrees and making it really hard to do the workout. Also often it's super smelly the whole place because of how people are sweating, is extremely unpleasant, I even avoided doing parts of my workout because the smell was horrible in some areas, this contributes for a very bad experience.

After the reopening in July it's much better than before. New machines, a bit of a change in zones and what is located where, and for the first time the gym is really clean (I would really appreciate if it will be this way not only during the first week after you are back but as a general rule). The only huge problem is a total absence of any ventilation/ air conditioning. It's impossible to open windows as well. If you came here to work out you have a risk to suffocate and sweat as a rat. I don't think it's a wise technical solution in (still) COVID19 times.

P.s. Since I received a reply from the studio, I would have to comment here further: I understood it from multiple exactly the same answers from this particular gym that AC is not an option and out of picture because it can damage the health of people working out (no one asked for +4 fridge temperature but I will definitely educated myself about cold air and muscle damage). I was talking about the quality of air. Which is very low poor quality. Even if this particular gym has some sort of ventilation system (I can clearly see it on the ceiling) it doesn't work / doesn't work well enough. I was in the gym writing this review yesterday. There were very few people. Yes, I know about morning hours etc , plus it was not that hot yesterday. It's just funny when you point out some problem and receive an answer "choose a better time for a workout" or "drink more water". Very helpful!

Went a long way in order to buy membership and train, just to be declined because I can't buy membership for a period shorter than one year. I explained I'm only temporary in Berlin and that I'm willing to pay higher price for 2 months, but no. Also, I've already trained in 2 gyms in Berlin, both accepted to make exception and provided me with short-term offers.
