Came here in early September. The line by the grill shed outside is long but moves very fast.
The best thing about this place though is the cool and friendly guy at the toilets who clearly loves his job and welcomes guests with the music he plays and dances to. ????????

The food tasted great and it was nice to have somewhere to sit and enjoy a meal with friends before heading out to the lake.

Why I wouldn’t recommend this:
- the restrooms are despicable, just thinking of it makes me squirm and have goosebumps
- the portions are ridiculous
- the front house host had a horrible attitude

Lovely place in a good spot for a meal after a swim in the lake. If you're a tourist avoid the classic German food here (curry wurst, schnitzel), it was disappointing for the price and venue

We were sold a beer as Augustiner which definitely wasn't, tasted like a watery bitter pils. Although the staff insisted it was, it was no Muenchener Helles. Very disappointing.
I'd say if it was a genuine mistake I'd let it slide, but as a beer aficionado, to be swindled by careless staff means that I won't be returning...

Great place to stop off on a walk around the lake (Schlachtensee or Krumme Lanke), or to go to after a swim in the lake. Foer some even in Winter! Beer garden with self service. Queues can be long. During Covid there were fewer tables to ensure social distancing and at present 02/2021 they have a number of Christmas Market stands offering food and drink.

Food and coffee was ok, but service was rude and it took ages to be served. First of all, I had to ask for a menu after 15 minutes of waiting. I also had to ask three times for the bill over a period of 20 minutes.

I love this place. Not exactly the food here, but in a summer, sunny day it's a perfect place to be. You look at the lake, people are swimming, children are playing, it is simply happiness ????
