This was with no doubt the best restaurant I've ever visited. What an amazing culinary experience. The atmosphere is cozy and the quality of the ingredients and technique is unmatched. You might be wondering why 4 stars and not 5? Well, I've prepaid for the the whole experience, and also paid extra to include the pairing wines (again, great wine selection), obviously you can quite imagine that the price is quite high. The price is not the problem, the problem is that on top of that they charged you for the welcome champagne (almost 50 euros on top). For me that was a cheap trick. First of all, why don't you just include it as part of your tasting drink menu. Second this was a birthday surprise for my boyfriend, at the end of the evening you gave us the bill which included the price of everything plus the 50 euros extra that now we had to pay. Nobody wants to know how much was a birthday gift, it kind of ruined the whole prepaid experience.

A beautiful place with a warm welcome and a unique experience. However I came with big expectations and was a bit disappointed. The dishes were gorgeous and the amount and verity was overwhelming... but, taste-wize, I can't say I had a wow moment.
Bottom line, over priced and over rated.

Genuinely the best meals I've ever had. The food, the wine, how personable the chefs were; every moment of the meal made us feel special. My party and I were blown away. Frankly, if you're in Berlin, this should be one of your first stops for fine dining.

Of course the ernst experience is unforgettable. You lose count of all the dishes they serve. Many of them are outstanding. What I admire most: The dedication and passion of the chefs and how they treat the ingredients with love and respect.

Good food (as expected for the price they charge), but not memorable for me. Avoid the wine pairing, you only get a tiny taste for a ridiculous price. The wines are not outstanding and don't necessarily pair well with the dishes. The team does a wonderful job, and I love the concept! but to be honest, I wouldn't rush back.

Sorry for the late review. I ate here last month and the only word that comes to mind is phenomenal. I was in Berlin for 2 weeks for school and 4 of us were fortunate enough to come to Ernst and eat. With only seating for 8, sitting right at the kitchen while each dish is prepared in front of you and everything is explained in detail is an experience in its own, but the food was also the best I’ve ever had. We had 30+ courses and I could have gone back every night. Everything was served fresh, plated beautifully and absolutely delicious. This was also coming off of Central in Lima 2 months prior, if that’s the number 2 restaurant in the world, than Ernst should be number one. I would take another round trip flight from Seattle just to eat there again.

Overrated and does not taste good at all. I have dined in many Michelin restaurants all around Europe and this was the worst.

The technique and use of local ingredients were to be admired for, however does it really matter if the result does not taste good at all? (All parties that I went with agree on the statement)

Moreover, offering a ‘welcome drink’ u0026 and then asking it to be paid for at the end of the dinner is just absurd and does not fit standards of providing a good and fair customer experience at all.
