If you want to know what's going on in design and artistic crafts in Berlin, or in Germany for that matter, visit the Direktorenhaus. They even have a museum! The coffee is good too, you'll need it if you have to find a parking place

Having been attracted to Berlin because of its history, and fearing the worst because of its tourism, I was all the more pleasantly surprised to find this institution, hardly a five minute walk from the tourist hotspots, sitting serenely on the bank of the Spree river. Dedicated to supporting and publicising what Germany has always been famous for: craftsmanship and design, in the best Bauhaus tradition. Not only do they have the physical goods, but also the geistig ideas, hosting discussions of and around design in the modern economy and geo-political condtions. They also have a very nice cafe with cosy woodstoves!

This was the best day in my life. I have visited many Museums in Berlin but Direktorenhaus is the best one. pleasant environment and great staff. I recommend you to visit Direktorenhaus.You will not be disappointed

Absolutely first-class! Hats off to the makers!! Never expected it here, but on the other hand, it's obvious if you think a bit more about Berlin's history and not just the sight-seeing.

I found this place by chance as I walked along the river. Nice surprise.
Interesting stuff they do here, wish we had something like this in back in Blighty.

A lot of interesting initiatives are being pursued, well worth supporting with a visit.
