Small french cafe in the canal, with a small outside area to sit and watch the city go by. Very friendly owner who made us feel at home. The coffee was so good and they had some amazing cakes. Went in for a pick me up and ended up staying there for a couple of hours drinking coffee, wine and enjoying their cakes. Sadly, we did not take any photos

Located along a small river at Planufer 92 Die Brodstatte has been collecting accolades since opening in 2016, not to be confused with a similarly named space at Maybachufer Strasse “The Bread Station” is Danish in origin with a focus on long-fermented Sourdough, good Coffee and Pastries starting at 08h00.

Part of an upscale neighborhood, table hockey on the outdoor patio allowing guests an opportunity to pass the time, standing space inside Die Brodstatte is limited to a few square meters while the space’s bulk consists mainly of kitchen, racks and shelves.

Fair priced for items made of local Organic Grains, Weizen-Korner Stuck adding Cornmeal to aromatic Wheat for a more sophisticated crumb, Viennoiseries come in a wide range with expert lamination filled with melted Chocolate versus topped with Cheese or Sage.

Taking an alternative approach to Scandinavia’s famous Cardamom Knot, layered bits glued together with Sugar and Butter like Monkey Bread, The Bread Station’s Cinnamon Roll also earns high marks for its crisp coil that softens towards the center with subtle notes of Yeast tickling the palate in each bite.

This place is totally suitable for the hygge. You should definitely try their "vollkornbrötchen" with their special Danish butter. Also they make their own raspberry marmalade which is super yummy. It's pleasure to visit this place every time.

Friendly and helpful staff. I was looking for rye bread - I was offered two types of rye bread in the form of either loafs or rolls. The loaf I chose was delicious and tasted of real dark rye. It was fresh and has lasted two people several days. I was pleasantly surprised by the cafe setup inside the bakery as well and will be sure to go back for some coffee u0026 pastries.

Café is good but a bit pricey. Bread is absolutely crazy (7 euro for a loaf)

Try the Almond Croissant, it‘s pure heaven! A Danish bakery that also opened in Berlin some time ago and there are lots of French expats coming here for a quick breakfast in the morning which is always a good sign!
